Uranyless in 30% Ethanol
Uranyless in 30% Ethanol is recommended for very dense tissue and lipid-rich tissue that is difficult to contrast.
- Contrast: 2 to 8 minutes with UranyLess in ethanol.
- Wash: Twice for 3 minutes with 30% alcohol.
- Contrast Enhancement: 2 minutes with lead citrate (#DM22410).
Notes:
- UranyLess is a 30% ethanol solution in water.
- Ethanol facilitates good contrast penetration, especially in tissues rich in tight collagen, such as the cornea, in this type of application.
- 30% Ethanol solution is an effective compromise for deeper penetration without dissolving lipid structures.
